The trip to Luxor - a very interesting tour!
I want to share their impressions of quite amazing trip to Luxor. My husband and I were in Egypt for the second time, so knew that receiving a guide all the tours are very expensive, and programs are the same everywhere: wherever you go half the time allotted for the tour, you will spend a stupid stores. But what to do, such is life. And this time we went for a walk in Hurghada and accidentally found the agency, where we were offered a tour in Luxor to the expanded historic program without shopping. Since my husband and I hate shopping, we immediately agreed, and we have not lost!
We went to Luxor in the group of eight people, so that the tour has turned out almost individual, all was well seen and heard. A look and listen there was something! Guide - Beautiful Russian woman in love with the history of Egypt and it is so exciting covers everything he knows! This was not an excursion, and a little performance on the history of Egypt. We saw the Karnak and Luxor temples, then Temple of Hatshepsut, temple of Medinet Habu,, Temple of Ma'at and Hathor, tombs, ruins of an ancient settlement in the valley of craftsmen, the Colossi of Memnon - so much excitement! Want to again thank the organizers of this tour. If you really want to see history, but not stupid shops papyrus, buy this tour.

Sharm el Sheikh
The most "westernized" Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh is situated in the southern Sinai Peninsula and stretches a few tens of kilometers along the picturesque bays. This - a paradise for divers and lovers of sunbathing. Bathers here we have a little bit harder.

In practice, only Naama Bay offers beaches that are suitable for bathing: sandy and flat, with easy access to the sea, with no coral reefs nearby.

Beaches in new areas (Hadaba, Bay Sharks Bay, Bay of Sharm El Maya Bay Nabq) are located in the conservation area, where it is forbidden to clean the bottom of the coral. Therefore, almost all the beaches here are not convenient for swimming (especially for swimming with children): Corals begin almost at the shore and extend to 15-20 meters. But among the corals - the mass of colorful fish and other marine life. So what should wear a mask - and far from shore sail is not necessary - all the wonders of the sea will appear before your eyes.

At all the beaches have sun loungers and umbrellas, water sports, bars, restaurants and discos, throw parties.

Hurghada
Hurghada - resort of world renown, first in Egypt have begun to take a large number of foreign tourists. Therefore, the beaches are well maintained and well equipped, perhaps, the most comfortable on the coast. Reefs at most beaches are not suitable to the shore, allowing water to enter without special shoes. Where corals still hinder the entrance of the sea, built comfortable wooden pontoons. The beaches are flat, with fine clean sand, ideal for children.

In Hurghada, the sun always shines and blows a refreshing sea breeze, so even in the heat of the beaches of Hurghada, is quite comfortable. On the beaches belonging to hotels, sun loungers and umbrellas are free for vacationers to the beach at the entrance to the need to pay 5-10 LE (Egyptian pounds). Along the sandy beaches built luxury hotels, mostly - in oriental style. Reefs are fairly close to shore, so most beaches in the water should be included in rubber footwear.

Дахаб
Dahab - a small resort town on the east coast of the Sinai peninsula, 95 km from Sharm el-Sheikh. Dahab - build a city there are constantly opening new hotels and restaurants. The city is deprived of too much pathos, almost - it is "wild" resort, featuring a free atmosphere. The resort has many campgrounds.

Dahab consists of two parts: the Old City and the Lagoon, which is 10 minutes away by taxi. At the heart of Old Town is situated Russian Dive Center and Surf Station. Here rest mostly divers and surfers. Concept "beach" in the old town there is little - for entering the water must go through the coral reef that stretches along almost the entire coast. Sand approach to water and sandy bottom is a small stretch of coastline for camping "Lighthouse".

In the lagoon beaches long and sandy, but there is, basically, surfers ride, which excludes the possibility of normal swimming.

Elephantine (Satis sanctuary, the goddess protector of the Nile, from the entire complex, leaving only the temple of Khnum, the spouse of the goddess) and the granite quarries, where thousands of years ago quarried stones for the construction of the pyramids, palaces and temples of the pharaohs. High Coast of the island Elephantine (island fillet) is faced with stone slabs on which are carved hieroglyphic inscriptions. In this part of the island and began the old Aswan. Together with Edfu and Dendera temple on Elephantine Island - one of the three best preserved Ptolemaic temples, and the temple of Isis is very well preserved. Foundation of the church "gone" underground, and the very structure was buried under the sand. After the excavation and restoration of the temple has become one of the most remarkable monuments of Egypt.

Now is the construction of dams on the rivers, barring the way to the stone temple in the temple, and Abd al-Seobu on Lake Nasser. Built the dam will become part of the road Aswan - Abu Simbel, which will allow a huge number of tourists to visit the restored monuments. South of the city begin rapids of the Nile, by which Aswan is one of the most picturesque places in the country. In Aswan there is no bridge across the river - to the many monuments except by felucca (traditional Egyptian sail boat with a diagonal), and not podbereshsya. Alexandria
Alexandria - the second largest city of Egypt. Founded in 332-331 years. BC Alexander the Great and named in his honor, it has been and remains one of the most important points of the Mediterranean coast of Africa. The city is located in the Nile delta on the Mediterranean coast and is the largest port of Egypt.

Border geography Alexandria influenced her character. She became a gateway from the eastern Muslim world in western Christendom, from the history of Egypt in its modernity. Although up to Cairo, Egypt, hence the total 225 km, the atmosphere here is completely different. Eastern neighborhoods with colorful bazaars are intertwined with the white European houses, and dinner can be not only in the Arab cafes, but also in the Greek tavern.

The Many Faces of Alexandria combines a rich cultural heritage and good resort area. Beaches stretch along the 20-kilometer beach in the city and beyond. The total length of the beaches of Alexandria and its suburbs - about 40 km. For those tourists who wish to combine relaxation with sightseeing, this is the best resort of Egypt.

Beaches
The city has beaches Maamura, Montazah, Mandara, Assafra, Sidi Bishr, San Stefano, and others. West of Alexandria has two resort - Agami and Gannovil, with good tourist infrastructure. To the east of the city is a place of Abu Kir, a well-known fact that with him going on the battle of Napoleon and Nelson. Now Abu Kir - a small town famous for its fish restaurants.

So if you want more of their time at sea, but not in the city, it is best to choose a beachfront hotel in advance specifying what the sand is under your feet.

Starting in Alexandria need to remember that it's still not quite resort place. Four millionth port city, even standing on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, does not imply a quiet holiday away from civilization. Along the entire waterfront, with the beaches are busy highway, and after it starts the city itself. Therefore, the Alexandria is more suitable for those who love the rich holiday.

But the resort of Alexandria, is open all year. Winter off the coast you can see many yachts, sailed across the Mediterranean Sea, and in summer the beaches filled with vacationers.

And around the seething life of a poor part of Alexandria, devoid of a European gloss and opening all the charm of the east. It is also the market of fabrics - an indispensable attribute of the eastern city.

Just join the army in the town of Lower Egypt halted the violence. Thousands of activists of the Islamic underground have been executed and tens of thousands thrown into jail. Currently, the procedure generally restored, but the problem is not solved.

Most guidebooks do not recommend visiting Lower Egypt, though, on the other hand, not in these parts, namely, in Cairo, Luxor, Dahab and tourists becoming victims of terrorists. Only you decide to go to Lower Egypt, or wait for better times

Sinai
Sinai connects Africa with Asia, to which it geographically belongs. Sinai wedged into the Red Sea and bordered by the West Gulf of Suez, and from the east - the Gulf of Aqaba. The landscape Sinai - one of the most amazing regions of Egypt.

The northern part of the peninsula is a desert plateau, the low mountains of the south formed by crystalline rocks, painted in blue, green and red colors and images of famous colorful canyon. Stone and sandstone cliffs, shimmering like a rainbow, make breathless with delight. Here, God spoke to Moses through these lands on the "Silk Road" merchants brought goods from the East to Egypt.

On top of the mountain, according to legend, the Lord gave Moses the stone tablets of the faith of the famous Ten Commandments. At the top are two paths - one short, but steep, and the other - flatter, but longer. Not far from the top, where stands the chapel of the monastery of St. Catherine, they are connected - here comes the monks carved into the rock staircase of 3400 steps, and you have to travel to pilgrims (you can do it, and riding a camel, but this company is not for the faint of heart). Every night, dozens of pilgrims from around the world rise up from the monastery on the mountain of Moses, to meet the sunrise.

Monastery of St. Catherine
At the foot of the mountain, the place where the Lord spoke to Moses, raised the monastery of St. Catherine - the oldest active Christian monastery in the world. In the labyrinth of the monastic buildings stands the famous three-nave basilica, for which thousands of tourists come here. In two golden caskets next to a marble tabernacle kept his head and hand of the martyr St. Catherine. Behind the choir is a small chapel of the burning bush. It is assumed that the roots of the biblical bush under the altar, resting on marble columns. The collection of the monastery for more than two thousands of icons, famous for its monastic library - at its meeting of religious books and manuscripts, it is considered second only to the Vatican.

Hot Springs
An interesting phenomenon of nature Sinai - the hot springs along its western coast, near the highway leading to Sharm el-Sheikh. The best known sources of Moses (Musa Uyun). According to Biblical tradition, when the prophet Moses to release children of Israel from Egyptian bondage, Moses then struck five times on the ground with his staff, and in these places there were springs. At 130 km to the south are located Hammam Pharaoh - Pharaoh's Baths, and further south, near the town of Tor - "Moses baths, which have long been used by locals to treat rheumatism and arthritis.

The town of El-Kharga is the administrative center of the oasis and the main city of the province of New Valley. In the years of great friendship with the Soviet Union Kharga oasis was hailed Egypt's breadbasket. Enormous sums were invested in the raising of "virgin lands" and the development of the desert, however, seems to have plans of turning the desert into a blooming garden, a little justified in practice. On the other hand the Al-Kharga was built airfield, where twice a week, a plane took off for Cairo.

In an oasis of preserved quite a lot of interesting sights foraonov era, such as the Necropolis of El-Bagavat, the Temple of Ibiza and the ruins of the Temple of Kasr El-Guetta, relating to the gods Amon and Mutu.

Bahariya Oasis
Bahariya - closest to Cairo Western Desert oasis.

Sam oasis consists of a few Bedouin villages, built mud huts and surrounded by palm groves. The main town, Baviti, has about 10,000 residents here on the main and only paved street, Cairo bus stop.

The town itself does not constitute a special interest for tourists, but it is a starting point for trips to extend around the Sahara desert. About a hundred hot springs byut of land around Baviti, the temperature of which reaches 50-60 degrees! Stunning lunar landscapes, mountains, sand dunes - all this is amazing.

Local bedouin are striking in their hospitality and spontaneity. To change it and the fact that only 15 years ago in the oasis was held road from Cairo. Until that time, the only way to get to the Baharia were camel caravans across the desert.

About a year ago, was discovered near Baviti of the largest hitherto found buried mummies period of the second kingdom. More than 380 mummies have been recovered from the tombs to the north of the town. Considerable interest for connoisseurs may represent an innocent passion of local people to marijuana. Since we share "kosyachki and even whole armfuls of marijuana. The rapid flight of fancy and new sensations accompanied by our company during the entire trip through the desert.

About the organization of Safari you can turn to Ahmed Al-Shemi, a resident of Baviti, which everyone knows. This man - a very ordinary person for these godforsaken places. It deals with tourism and organization of the safari. In this case, we pridelno weary struggle with clever Egyptians, who tried to shortchange and cheat tourists at every turn - were surprised that the Egyptian national sport for tourists stripping totally touched Baharia! We will not be cheated or deceived or a pound, while maintenance and service is fully consistent with the original agreement. Ahmed organizes safari in a jeep on the five main routes, depending on the time and requirements of guests.

The route includes a three-day sightseeing Bahariya White Desert, Black Desert, hot springs, the British fort and the Farafra Oasis. Five-day trip includes a three-day trip, plus the oases of Dakhla and Kharga. Seven-day tours are possible as to the direction of Luxor and Aswan, through all the oases, and in the direction of the oasis of Siwa, Marsa Matruh, El Alamein, Alexandria, Wadi Natroun. Two-week tour includes a visit to three jeeps southern Libya, with its mysterious Berber towns and castles.

In the latter case, you should inform in advance Ahmed about your desire to be done this way, because obtaining the necessary documents for entry to Libya would require up to two weeks. In the latter case, your passport must be clear from the Israeli visas and stamps.

Telephone Ahmed in Baviti: 011-803031. His mailing address is as follows: "Egypt, Giza, Bahariya Oasis, Bawiti, to Mr.Ahmed EL-Shemi".

BC. er. The greatest interest was the mummy of 3-year old child, dressed in a mask with the image of his weeping face. Some of the mummies have plaster casts, which are drawn details afterlife.
